Yandex Reverses the Series
Team Yandex won the BLAST Slam VIII grand final with a 3–1 victory over Team Spirit, Esports Insider reported in an article updated on October 12.
Spirit won the opening game, but Yandex recovered to take the next three. The reversal turned an early disadvantage into a decisive series win.
The report highlights contributions from Ammar “ATF” Assaf and Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov during the comeback. It also describes the result as Yandex’s second consecutive major tournament title at the start of the 2026–2027 Dota 2 season.
For readers less familiar with the format, 3–1 refers to games won within the final series, not an individual match’s score. The key takeaway is straightforward: Spirit started stronger, but Yandex sustained its recovery across the remaining games.
